John Burns

Update: COVID-19

We, at John Burns Estate and Elder Care Law, are taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect our Elderly and “at risk” population.

We are always happy to see our Clients and ask you to please schedule an appointment before coming to the office.  In doing this, you will allow us time to implement recommendations from the Center of Disease Control.

If you do not feel comfortable coming to the office, we can provide a conference call with you.  We will implement a plan specifically tailored for you and your needs based on this call.

We ask that you call when you arrive in the parking area to assure that we have disinfected the office and that the Client before you has left the office.

The following recommendations from the CDC will be implemented between appointments and we encourage you to follow these also.

  • Perform routine environmental cleaning: Routinely clean all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace, such as workstations, conference room, telephones, light switches, and doorknobs.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing, or having been in a public place.
  • If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • To the extent possible, avoid touching high-touch surfaces in public places – elevator buttons, door handles, handrails, handshaking with people, etc. Use a tissue or your sleeve to cover your hand or finger if you must touch something.
  • Wash your hands after touching surfaces in public places.
  • Avoid touching your face, nose, eyes, etc.

If you are feeling ill, please call us to reschedule or we can schedule a phone Conference with you.

Most importantly, if you do not live close to your Elderly loved one and need us to provide a wellness check, provide Coordination of Care for groceries, meals, or Pharmacy needs, we will be glad to assist you to assure our Elderly population receives needed care.
